Then, ride over to Mission Bay and cruise along the peaceful bay walk. Bike along the quaint backstreets of La Jolla and Bird Rock to check out the luxurious homes and stunning sandstone cliff sides.
Ride to Windansea Beach, a well-known surf spot where some of the best surfers can be seen catching big waves! Then, ride into the village of La Jolla village, once a renowned artist colony, still home to the Museum of Contemporary Art. We'll stop to see the dynamic Pleasure Point exhibit, a great photo opportunity while on the bike tour!
Then, it's over to the Children's Pool for a close up view of the dozens of harbor seals, which have claimed this beach as their own. Park the bikes to walk out onto the seawall for an up close look at these harbor seals! Next, bike to the world famous La Jolla Cove for a glimpse of La Jolla's Ecological Reserve. Ride up Coast Blvd. to check out the Clam's Cave amidst the spectacular sea cliff; the Clam's Cave is the only sea cave visible from street level!
Next stop along the bike tour is the historical landmark, the Cave Store, where we'll park the bikes to walk down the 144 steps into Sunny Jim's Cave. Sunny Jim's Cave is the only land accessible sea cave, and your admission fee is included with our Freefall Bike tour. (Subject to the Cave Store's business hours).
Finally, we'll finish off this San Diego bike tour after we cruise atop the historical Coast Walk Trail that houses La Jolla's seven sea caves.
