Start off the Half Day Bike Kayak Tour on top of beautiful Mt. Soledad with its 52 foot cross and amazing panoramic views of San Diego.  Bike down the south side of Mt. Soledad into Pacific Beach & Mission Bay.  Stop all along the way for sightseeing and photo opportunities!  Ride along the quaint back streets of La Jolla to check out the luxurious homes & stunning cliffs! 

Then, it's over to the village of La Jolla and the Children's Pool for a close up view of the seals!  Bike to the world famous La Jolla Cove before riding to Goldfish Point to check out the Clam's Cave nestled within the sea cliff!  Then, ride to the historical Cave Store to walk down the 144 steps into Sunny Jim's Cave.  Finish off this San Diego bike tour after we cruise atop the historical Coast Walk Trail that houses La Jolla's sea caves, and offers an astounding view from this amazing cliff!

After a break for lunch in between the bike and kayak tour, return to our store where lockers & changing rooms are complimentary.

Then, kick off this kayaking adventure with a brief paddling instruction and kayak maneuvering lesson. Paddle over to La Jolla's magnificent sea caves and learn all about the geography, terrain, and wildlife within the Ecological Reserve. Kayak out to the Kelp Beds to see sea lions, seals, dolphin, and other marine life.  Then, your La Jolla kayaking tour will take you over to the sandy flats to kayak above the harmless leopard sharks!  Finish off your La Jolla kayaking tour by kayak surfing the kayak back to shore!  

What to Bring: Wear comfortable athletic clothing and tennis shoes for the bike tour.  Bring a bathing suit and towel for the kayak tour.  Sunscreen, baseball type hats, sandals, & a sack lunch are optional.

Requirements:  We welcome bikers and kayakers of all shapes and sizes; however, you must know how to ride a geared bike with hand brakes on roads, with some vehicular and pedestrian traffic.  You need to have reasonable stamina and be in good health for both the bike and kayak tours.  Although no previous kayak experience is necessary, all participants must be able to swim!  Ages 12 and up are welcome to participate in the Half Day Bike Kayak Tour.  Call (858) 454-1010 Contact: La Jolla Bike and Kayak, Inc.
