Learn to surf from a kayak surfing Pro! The buoyancy and maneuverability ability of an Ocean Kayak is ideal for getting outside breaks and exploring the fundamentals of kayak surfing. San Diego Bike and Kayak Tours offers kayak surfing during select weeks; however, all kayak surfing lessons are subject to Mother Nature. If there isn't any surf we can't go. We don't need huge waves to have fun playing in the surf; however, we don't want the surf to be small.

Generally you can get turned sideways as the wave starts to break. The trick is keeping the kayak in a diagonal slant. You must be prepared to come and get wet.
