Leopard Sharks in La Jolla

Encounter these Leopard Sharks on your own or on our guide tour.  Our guided tour is available daily during the spring, summer and fall months.  All of your necessary snorkel gear for this tour is provided, including the wetsuit, mask, snorkel and fins.  

Every spring season, leopard sharks begin migrating to the calm waters of La Jolla Shores as the water temperature begins to rise.  Snorkeling with these seasonal sharks is an amazing opportunity and couldn't be easier with this La Jolla Snorkel Adventure.  

By the peak summer season, hundreds of these harmless creatures can be found cruising the shallow sandy flats. They stay close to shore, usually in two to six feet of water.  These beautiful sharks are can grow to be three to five feet in length, but their mouth is the size of quarter, so don'tbe alarmed!

There are several ways to view these majestic creatures, but the best way to see them up-close and personal is by snorkeling.  Our "Snorkel with the Sharks" tour is a guided introductory lesson and adventure to explore this unique underwater habitat.

Requirements:  We welcome snorkelers of all shapes and sizes, from beginners to advanced on our snorkel tours in La Jolla. As long as you can swim and are at least 10 years of age, we encourage you to come join the fun!
