Experience sea kayaking on our stable sit-on-top Ocean kayaks.  Paddle to the La Jolla Caves and Ecological Reserve, with our exclusive "Paddle for the Grade" program for San Diego City School students.


Attention all San Diego City School students (Grades 3-12)!

Present your report card at our store, showing that you are attending a San Diego City School, AND have A's in Math, Science, & Physical Education for a free kayak rental with a parent or guardian!  

One legal parent/guardian must accompany the qualifying student with letter "A" grades in math, science, and physical education to receive a complimentary double kayak rental, Monday through Friday only.

Reservations are required to receive this promotion, and you must specify "Paddle for the Grade" when making your reservation. All other family members who want to participate with a qualifying student will receive 20% off rentals or tours, Monday through Friday.

Limit one complimentary double kayak rental per student/parent per semester.  Reservations required for participation in "Paddle for the Grade": Call 858 454-1010 

Kayak_snorkel_tour_pictureSan Diego Bike & Kayak Tours, Inc. would like to reward our local students for their hard work and well-rounded lifestyles.  Bring in your fall semester report card between January and April, or bring your spring semester report card between June through October.  Reservations are required, and you must mention "Paddle for the Grade;" this program is only valid Monday through Friday.

The "Paddle for the Grade" program is subject to availability and excludes holidays, including July 4th, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Christmas, and other blackout dates.  "Paddle for the Grade" is only valid on weekdays, and excludes all Saturdays & Sundays.  

"Paddle for the Grade" is only for San Diego City School students.  When making reservations, mention "Paddle for the Grade Program," and be sure to bring the original report card; photocopies will not be accepted!

Active bodies make for active minds, and our company supports this idea.  If you are a San Diego City School teacher, and you want to make a difference, your school can support San Diego students in the classroom by promoting the means to a healthy lifestyle with this free program. san_diego_bike_tour San Diego Bike & Kayak, Inc. would like to proudly partner with your school to promote the benefits of physical education and activity.  It is our belief that active bodies make for active, motivated minds.

There is an important need for athleticism and physical activity in our youth today.  An active, motivated youth will be better equipped to overcome and persevere in the face of challenges, not only in the classroom, but also later on in life.

San Diego is renowned for its favorable weather conditions, making our city a wonderful place for outdoor activity all year.  Often San Diego locals do not take advantage of the outdoor amenities that exist in their own backyard with as much excitement as we see from our tourists and visiting guests.  We hope to promote the outdoor opportunities in San Diego that might otherwise be overlooked. 

With San Diego Bike & Kayak's "Pedal & Paddle Physical Education Program" we hope to emphasize the following:

       • Introduce the sport of ocean kayaking to San Diego City School students

  • Promote the unique experience and findings that are only available on a bicycle

  • Alternative opportunities and venues for healthy lifestyles

  • Reinforce the idea that exercise and physical activity is fun and enjoyable, and helps activate the mind

  • Environmental awareness and the unique habitats specific to San Diego and Southern California
