Tour Details: Our sunset kayak tours will explore the breathtaking seacliffs and caves of La Jolla. Paddle to Sunny Jim's Cave, Arch Cave, and the Clam's Cave and witness an array of marine life inlcuding harbor seals, sea lions, Garibaldi, leopard sharks, and maybe even dolphins! Also, kayak to the kelp beds and Underwater Ecological Reserve, just northwest of La Jolla Cove before paddling back to shore as the sun slowly disappears along the horizon. While kayaking in La Jolla, we will show you how to surf your kayak back to shore to finish off your kayak trip! Sunset kayaking does not require any previous kayak experience. Call to reserve! What to Bring: You will get wet on our kayak tour! You may leave a towel, dry change of clothes, and your personal belongings in our complimentary lockers; however, we recommend you arrive in your bathing suit ready to go. Barefoot on the kayaks is fine, or wear sandals or watershoes. Baseball type hats and sunscreen are also encouraged for your kayak tour! Wetsuits are available for rent for $5 for cooler days.
Requirements: We welcome kayakers of all shapes and sizes, from beginners to advanced on our kayaking tours in La Jolla. As long as you can swim and are at least 6 years of age, we encourage you to come join the fun! No previous kayak experience is necessary for our kayak tours or rentls.
